So much crap, so little time.

Well, if you haven’t seen it, War Games (1983) might just be the best movie ever made. If you have Comcast Cable:
a) I empathize with you
b) You can find War Games under “Free Movies” (N-Z).

To my first commenter: Thank you. You’ve got the point exactly. This isn’t some world-changing blog. I’m not looking to bowl you over with wisdom, or take you by surprise with a hot story. I’m just telling you what’s going on in the world around me. I guess from time to time you’ll see my interests pop up. Sometimes I’ll take a stance on an issue, but I’m not here to sell my opinion. I’m not here to debate, however if that’s what you want, ask; I’m a hell of an arguer. Thanks again to the person who left my first comment. May it be the first of many!

NASA’s Voyager 1 space probe reached 100 AU from the sun. For all the non-scientific types out there, an AU was the coined acronym for “Astronomical Unit”. Way back in the day when we believed the Earth was the center of the Universe (which is bullshit, I’m the center of the universe), scientists determined the distance from the Earth to the Sun. Of course we all know the Sun is approximately 150,000,000 kilometers (about 93,000,000Â miles) away. So 150,000,000 kilometers = 1 AU.

Today was pretty normal for me. Not much happened. I got up late (as usual) and went to work which isn’t usual. I just started a new job last Wednesday. I’m a software architect. I guess I’m good at what I do, but it’s still work, and I don’t like doing work. When I got in to my desk, there was an email waiting for me from my fiance. She’s pissed off about finding a new “alternative” email address with my name on it. I responded politely that it was the email I used to set this new blog up. I don’t know if she understands me; we haven’t spoken at all today. Again, I reiterate: this was a normal day, so please don’t worry about me
