So much crap, so little time.

Well, if you haven’t seen it, War Games (1983) might just be the best movie ever made. If you have Comcast Cable:
a) I empathize with you
b) You can find War Games under “Free Movies” (N-Z).
Let me explain why I think this is the best movie of all time. First of all, it’s got Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy, so you know it’s gonna kick ass to start with. If you haven’t seen it, I won’t ruin it for you, but I’ll tell you that War Games might be the spark that lit the fuse on personal computing craze, which (since you are reading this blog) are aware is still going on today. The whole freakin movie is about computers, which for a guy like me rocks! But if you’re all about suspense, comedy, drama, or love/romance…this flick’s got all that too.
The coolest part about the movie is the obvious plug for Burger King’s top-selling sandwich: The Whopper. If you’ve seen it, you ought to know what I mean, but if you haven’t. There is a computer named War Operation Plan Response (WOPR) which uses artificial intelligence to simulate all possible outcomes of an all-out global thermonuclear war (WWIII). It’s all explained in the movie. It’s pretty bad-ass.
Ok, so go check it out (if you’ve never seen it), and let me know what you think of the movie.

10-4, good buddy! This movie kicks ass! Definitely in my top 5 favorites of all time.
[...] War Games - The Average White Guy nominates this as the best movie ever (sarcastically of course). An artificially intelligent computer system, primed to launch nukes against the commies? YES! [...]
