I just acquired this LP from an online store for 41.00. I've included the link to my blog with this ocmment where I will be sharing the LP in what I hope to be CD quality sound at 320 kbps. I should have it up by end of this weekend. So anyone wanting it there will be a free download link.

I just synced (is that a word?) it to my mp3 player. Hooray! My hubby says I can use an audio cable to play it through my parent's sound system for the holidays. You should get it recorded to CD's and sell them. I suppose there would be legal issues there. thanks anyway!!

I taped the LP to cassette at home before I got married because it was just one of those things I HAD to have in my new life. That was 11 years ago. I play the same scratchy, amateur recording for my kids every year. They love the saxophone part in Here comes Santa Claus as much as we did as kids. I would totally love to do exactly as you have done and get/make a digital recording for my parents and my 3 siblings. Please, oh please, send me the info you have on how I can do that! I'd really love it before Xmas this year but I'll do it for next if I have to. The memories that the music returns to your mind are more precious than any store-bought gift.
Merry Christmas!

I too have the album and no means to play it! My family has played it at Christmast time ever since 1968. This will be the first Christmas we will not be together and I would like to send my kids a CD of the album. Do you know where I can get it?

Thanks!

I TOTALLY remember this album and have likewise been looking for it for ages. I remember there was a great version of "I'll be home for Christmas" sung by this sultry woman (who it was, I can't remember) and, as you mention, Vic Damone's "Deck the Halls" & Arthur Fiedler conducting "Sleigh Ride."

Wasn't there also Ed Ames singing "Let it Snow?"

Is it available? I'd love to buy a copy!

I do have the album in digital form. I'll get you some more info on where you can get it for yourself. Thanks for the comment.

We have the record, but don't have the means of converting everything to mp3.

Do you know if the song files/album is online for download? megaupload, rapidshare?
