The Average White Guy is proud to announce a new feature on the site: “Average White Guy of the Week”. Each week, I’ll select another average white guy, give his profile and explain why he’s been nominated. You’ll be able to find a complete list on the “Other Average White Guys” page. Some of these guys you’ll know, some you won’t. There’s only one qualification: You’ve got to be average. See the “Other Average White Guys” link above.
We’ll inaugurate this new feature with an icon. He’s well-known in the technology circles around the world, and is - in part - responsible for something most people come in contact every day. He’s the CEO of perhaps the largest corporation in the world, and yet…he’s average.

The key to being average is evolving just enough that the times don’t pass you by. If you halt your progression completely, the world around you moves to fast. If you’re a front-runner, well then you’re obviously not average. What follows, however is what gets Ballmer the nomination:

Folks, you can’t make this shit up. It’s true mediocrity, and I applaud it here. Congratulations Mr. Ballmer. You’re one outstanding example of an average white guy.
