I’m partial to the U.S. Military. I have friends and family who have served our country proudly in uniform. I was inches away from serving myself, and a big chunk of my still wishes I would have. With that said, I need unload some of the shit I’m carrying about the recent statement put forward by Mr.  John Kerry. If you didn’t see it here it is:

“You know, education…if you make the most of it and you study hard, and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t you get stuck in Iraq.”

Now I’ve discussed this with friends on both sides of the isle, and I have to say that the comment Mr. Kerry made this week have really shown me the reality of bipartisan politics. The republicans (of which I am one) are obviously frustrated by the remark, and I believe rightly so. It takes a lot of ignorance and stupidity to assault the fine men and women who serve our country in uniform with a comment like the one above.

The democrats….well that’s a whole differnet story…

I can’t believe that people actually defend this remark. Kerry is now calling this a joke by the way. Some joke. The defense for Kerry is that we’ve misinterpreted the statement. We’ve overlooked the emphasis on Kerry pointing towards the importance of education. I might be able to buy that had Kerry retracted his statement when he took the podium the next time, but instead, he defended his comment, and refused to admit it was wrong.

George Bush was outraged at Kerry’s “joke” and rebutted by saying:

“The men and women who serve in our all-volunteer armed forces are plenty smart and are serving because they are patriots — and Senator Kerry owes them an apology.”

In order to defend John Kerry’s remark, the democrats (that I’ve spoken with) immediately pause on “plenty smart”, which is techically poor grammar. Well here’s the thing I don’t get, and if I’m wrong, please fucking tell me: How can you ask me - the republican and war supporter - to ignore the syntax (how it was spoken) and endorse the semantics (what it means) of Kerry’s “joke”, and defend Kerry by pointing out the syntax of Bush’s “plenty smart” rebuttal, while missing the semantic point. It’s as two-faced as you can get. Bush defended his troops brilliantly, and I applaud him for it.

Back the “joke”… Kerry implies that soldiers serving in Iraq are uneducated and basically stupid. Well let me  infer something here: If Iraq is basically the Vietnam of the new millenium, then wouldn’t it also stand to reason that troops who fought in Vietnam are similarly as stupid as those fighting in Iraq? If this is true, doesn’t that imply that Kerry is stupid, since he served in Vietnam?

How can this be? Kerry is a thrice-decorated Purple Heart medal winner, with all the dramatic swiftboat footage, and the impeccable service record. He used it as a campaign platform during the 2004 presidential election campaign. Now I implore you to tell me if you think I’m a fucking idiot: “Why would anyone vote for a self-admitted idiot for president?!”

What continues to surprise me is that liberals don’t see what’s going on here. Kerry probably didn’t mean what he said, who (honestly) could say such a thing. He’s trying to preach to the chior. He’s trying to win the sentiment of the crowd by  spewing the shit they want to hear. He has nothing honest or redeeming to say. That’s how he (the fucker calls Boston home) manages to mispronounce either Manny Ramirez or David Ortiz when he spoke of “Manny Ortez” when speaking in Boston. In case you’re not aware: Boston lives and breathes Red Sox Baseball. During the same campaign, he did a speech in Green Bay Wisconsin, and misprounced “Lambeau Field” as “Lambert Field”. In both cases (and this “joke” case) he was trying to speak to the crowd. He wanted people to believe he’s one of them, but he’s not.

Kerry is a bold-faced liar, and an ignorant scumbag. His comments border on outright treason in my humble opinion, and any moron who would vote for Kerry again needs a military tour of Iraq to teach them how stupid our troops really are.

God Bless America, and the fine men and women who dutifully serve us, and protect us at great expense to themselves each and every day of our lives.
