So much crap, so little time.

Well, The Average White Guy, and his not-so-average Mustang earned a ticket this morning. It’s not technically a speeding ticket, it’s an “Obedience to a Traffic Control Device” ticket. The citation also states that I failed to obey an 55 MPH sign. The state trooper checked off radar in the “Nature of Offense” box, but didn’t list my speed. Is that bullshit or what?
He was buried behind an overpass support when he nailed me. As soon as I passed him (despite the other cars on the road), I knew he was gunning for me. I immediately moved over to the right lane on the highway and soon after he ignited his fiery little lights. He seemed nice enough, but still cocky, like all cops are. He came back to my car, and delivered me two citations. The first was the one I described, the second one was for my expired registration. I’d been meaning to do that for a month now, so it’s my own fucking fault. The fines are $106.00 for the traffic violation, and $75.00 for the expired sticker. Damn it, and so close to the holidays….spare some change for an average white guy?

Sorry Jimbo! No money from me.. you’re making the big bucks. I was fortunate enough to get one of these “Failure to obey a traffic control device” in rural North Central PA. In my case it actually was a break.. going 72 in a 45 with my old Mustang (now yours). The fine wasn’t fun to pay, but at least I didn’t get any points on my license.
[...] I’m apparently marked for death in my Mustang. I’ve been cited three times this week for driving offenses. The first two were covered in my previous post: Traffic Ticket. This morning I was pulled over again for the expired registration. This time I got a warning because I had already updated my registration, but the sticker wasn’t delivered to me yet. This Mustang (although I love it to death) is a bullseye for the cops. [...]
