It’s been a while since my last post. With my office basically shutting down for the year (with the notable exception of ME!), everything’s been sort of hectic. My apologies completely.

I got an email from a guy I work with about this CMU grad (typically I don’t care for the CMU types) who developed this simple little game which is supposed to help teach computers to interpret images. How? I have no idea, but the game is rather fun. The rules are simple:

  1. Sign up
  2. Press “Play Now”
  3. You’ll be teamed up with another player (who you can’t see or hear, and will never see or hear).
  4. You’ll both be shown the same image. You type word relevant to the image and press enter. Your anonymous partner (holy shit! Anonymous partner - hahahaha) will do the same. When your partner enters a word you’ve typed, or vice versa, you will get some points and move on to the next image.
  5. You have 2m 30s to get as many as you can. If you think the image is too hard, press “Pass” and the other player will get an alert saying you wish to pass.

I played it a few times and I thought it was fun. Check it out: http://www.espgame.org/
