Suicide Bombings? Sure. Why Not?
According to a Pew Research Center poll, one in four U.S. Muslims believe suicide bombings can be justified. Well holy crap. Fashion this. Islam - a peaceful, peace-loving religion as I’ve been told - have 25% of its followers openly admitting suicide bombings are necessary and can be justified. Imagine how many more Muslims out there believe this, but wouldn’t answer yes to the poll question.
The data analysis for this one is simple….
According to factbook.net, there are approximately 9,732,000 Muslims living in America. That’s just about 3.6% of the total population. If only one in four Muslimes here in the USA will justify suicide bombings (aloud), that is 2,433,000 Muslims in the U.S.A. alone.
I don’t fully understand the religion so I can’t be certain of what it teaches. but I watch the news, read the paper, and keep up to date on foreign affairs. I’ve read excerpts from the Qu’ran and Sunna. (The Qu’ran is the holy book of Islam, whereas the Sunna is the prescription of daily life for the Muslims.) I see the violence stemming from the Nation of Islam, and its complete intolerance for other religions. I have 9/11 to remember. I have the first WTC attack in 1993. I have the U.S.S. Cole, the Embassy attacks in Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, and Tanzania, the Subway bombings in Spain, the school shootings in Russia, and the conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It’s becoming more and more difficult to consider Islam a religion of peace. Any takers?
