Federal Court Slams Local Illegal Immigration Laws

You can read the full story on Reuters here: http://www.reuters.com/article/domesticNews/idUSN2645989120070726?feedType=RSS&rpc=22&sp=true but I’ll fill you in here too.

The small town of Hazelton, PA (about 100 miles north of Philadelphia) has been told that the laws created concerning illegal immigrants is unconstitutional. A U.S. district court judge threw out the law on the Hazelton books. The law in question imposes fines and penalties on companies who employ illegal immigrants (hereafter referred to as ‘aliens’) or rent living space to aliens.

Shamefully, the UNITED STATES justice department is now apparently defending the rights on illegal aliens. Someone’s going to have to explain this to me. Illegal aliens are a problem. They’re overwhelming our society. They’re demanding the same rights as our citizens have and it’s wrong.

I didn’t do anything special to become a citizen of the United States; I was born here. Since it’s my birth right, nobody can take it away from me. Other citizens immigrated to the U.S. in search of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”. They had to pay their entry fee. They had to work hard to become citizens here. How fair is it to these people that any Mexican who can make it over the border without being caught is essentially entitled to the same liberties as those who had to struggle to get across legally? It’s not fair at all. What’s worse? The courts are upholding the unfairness.

It should be illegal to hire illegal employees. It’s illegal to receive stolen goods, even if you didn’t know they were stolen. There should be no difference. It should also be illegal to rent property to them. Since the lease agreement is a legally-binding contract, whether written or verbal (trust me, I know what I’m talking about here, but that’s a long story) the courts must enforce the contract. If one party on the legally-binding agreement isn’t a legal citizen, how can the courts protect their rights if the landlord violates the contract or vice versa? It’s nonsense.

I’m not going to tell you we should shoot down any illegal immigrant as they cross the border, but I am saying we should be trying to thwart any attempt to make the United States of America an enviting place to anyone who decides to come here illegally. Bring on the legal immigrants. That’s what makes this country great. Keep out the illegal aliens. That’s what makes the country no better than the countries these illegals come from.

Right on hunny. It should piss people off that illegal immigrants are here. They come here and then have a baby hear that is now a “citizens” and that child is now entitled to welfare benefits. I’m sorry…I have to say F*CK that. People that work so hard everyday that may at one time need a hand and what do they get…Well last year you made too much money or your not qualified. Immigrants are a drain on our society and I am sick of the US not taking care of its own people first. Last thing, it’s going to be those same people that go into a contract with an illegal immigrant or employ one that get screwed and when one ups and leaves the property a disaster or steals from a company in the end,we will see then on the news bitching and complaining about it and how can they get their money back.
