So much crap, so little time.

Ok, I’m not Santa, but I found some reindeer! It’s at a little store near my house called Meder’s Nursery (the link takes you to Google Maps). I suppose this is a follow up to the Kraynak’s Post, but the cool thing about Meder’s, although it’s a lot smaller than Kraynak’s is how close it is from where I live. There is one other thing Meder’s has that Kraynak’s doesn’t, live reindeer. I guess they live there, but since I don’t visit the store until I’m gearing up for Christmas, I don’t know if they’re around outside the holiday season.

Meder’s has five reindeer, the one pictured being the largest. None are sporting antlers - a true staple of the reindeer look - but I think it’s because they are so young. The one I’m feeding above was a real pig. He’s eating seed out of my hand. You can’t see it in the picture, but there is a littler coin-op seed machine off to the left of the picture (like a gumball machine). A quarter will get you a medium-sized handful of seed. The kids love it.
If you were expecting a story about how I saw some reindeer, and one of them tried to mount me, and now I need therapy, or I inadvertently let the herd loose in the store where they destroyed all sorts of merchandise, sorry to disappoint. However, if you’d really like those kinds of stories to appear here, let me know and I’ll make some up.
