Rick Santorum

I was watching “On The Record” with Greta Van Susteren this evening. She had Mr. Santorum on her show. The reason? She was asking him what the purpose of his upcoming trip to Iowa was all about. As it turns out, he was asked to speak to a group there, downplaying any intentions to run for president in 2012.

The interview continued on however. Van Susteren asked her guest in almost no uncertain terms if he was running for president in 2012. Never saying the word “no”, he explained how concerned he is for America. Over and over, he explained how he was concerned. Now, I’ve never met Mr. Santorum (although I would like to as I admire him greatly), I have lived in Pennsylvania all my life. For a long time, Santorum was my U.S. Senator. One of two republicans (although Specter has since switched to the more appropriate party for his socialist views), I believe I know his policies and beliefs as well as any other 2012 voter. I can safely say I will - without a notion of hesitation - pull the lever for him should I get the chance.

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe I saw a very informal announcement for candidacy this evening. I am hereby pledging my support for Mr. Santorum going forward.
